At 2:11 a.m., LCFC and numerous mutual aid companies were dispatched to assist Lionville Fire Company with a house fire in the 100 block of Marsh Creek Drive in Upper Uwchlan Township. The reporting party reported seeing fire in their neighbor’s house. Upper Uwchlan Police Department arrived on scene and advised of a fully involved house, which prompted the working fire dispatch.

Engine 73-5 and Rescue 73 both made the response, with Engine 73-5 arriving as the 2nd due engine behind Engine 47-2 and Tower 47. The crew from Engine 73-5 initially assisted with fire attack before checking for extension into the neighbor’s house. Due to the high heat from the fire, the siding had melted off the neighboring house, cracked multiple windows, and LCFC’s crew discovered two holes in the attic where fire had burned through the wall. The crew mitigated the situation inside the attic with a water can.

The fire was placed under control at 2:55 a.m. and LCFC returned to our station a little after 4:00 a.m.

Our thoughts go out to the homeowners affected by this fire and a special thank you to Ridge Fire Company for standing by at our station and covering our local while we operated at the fire.
