LCFC Volunteers were dispatched to the 200 block of Greenridge Road for a reported brush fire. Chief and Deputy 73 responded and were advised by Chester of a brush fire extending into the woods. Chief 73 arrived first and advised of no active fire, but there were smoldering leaves in the woods. Upon arrival of Brush 73, the personnel from Brush 73 and Chief 73 worked to extinguish the smoldering leaves. Engine 73-5 arrived next and the crew assisted with overhaul, which included cutting up a burning tree that was already on the ground. Crews returned back to the station in time to get ready for our weekly drill.
