This afternoon, LCFC was dispatched to the 3500 block of Conestoga Road in East Nantmeal Township for a brush fire. Chief 73 was on-scene nearly immediately after dispatch and reported having a 5x25 area of woods on fire and spreading up the hill. Due to the fire spreading, Chief 73 requested the next due brush truck be added to the assignment. This request added Glen Moore Fire Company’s brush truck to the call.

Brush 73 was the first piece of apparatus to arrive and the crew put the booster line in-service to keep the fire from spreading further up the hill. In the meantime, Engine 73-2 arrived on-scene and the crew stretched a handline from the bottom of the hill to assist with extinguishing the fire. The fire was quickly placed under control. Engine 73-1 and Tanker 73 also made the response and assisted with water supply at the scene.

A total of 15 LCFC volunteers responded to this call.
