Around 2:00 A.M., LCFC, along with Station 62 (Ridge), 61 (Kimberton), 47 (Lionville), and 87 (Uwchlan Ambulance) were dispatched to the 2000 block of Horseshoe Trail in West Vincent for a reported house fire. Assistant 73 and Chief 73 went enroute shortly after dispatch and were advised by the county that it was reported as a living room on fire. Assistant 73 arrived first with the Chief right behind him. Assistant 73 confirmed the report with heavy smoke showing from the charlie side and asked for the working fire dispatch and first alarm tanker task force due to the house being in a limited hydranted area. Engine 73-1 made the response soon after the Chiefs' arrival with a crew of 5. Engine 73-2, with a crew of 6, and Tanker 73 both went enroute shortly behind 73-1. Engine 73-1 arrived and due to a tree in the driveway, stretched a 3" leader line about 500 feet to the house and split off with 2-1.75” handlines to start making the attack. Engine 73-2 and Tanker 73 arrived simultaneously and crews laid roughly 600' of supply line from the street back to Engine 73-1 and supplied the engine with water. The fire was knocked quickly and the fire was contained to the room of origin. Crews from our mutual aide assisted in primary searches, fire suppression and overhaul before being released by command. Crews were on scene for roughly 2 hours before returning available.
