LCFC Runs Several Calls in 72 hours

During the weekend of 3/18/2022, LCFC responded to several calls for service. Friday evening around 10:30 P.M., the company was dispatched to the 1800 block of Fairview Road for a motorcycle accident. Chief, Deputy, Assistant and QRS 73 went enroute shortly after dispatch. The radio room advised responding units that the caller stated there was one motorcycle vs. a tree. QRS 73 arrived on scene first and confirmed one motorcycle with the patient down off the roadway. The crew from QRS 73 immediately started to render care. Shortly after, Chief, Deputy and Assistant 73 arrived on scene and Chief 73 assumed Fairview Road Command. Rescue 73, Traffic 73, Ambulance 89-1 and Medic 93 all arrived simultaneously. Medic 93 made the decision to fly the patient due to severe injuries. Rescue 73 returned to the firehouse to set up the landing zone. 73 units operated for roughly 1 hour.

On Sunday evening around 8:45 P.M., the company and Uwchlan Ambulance were alerted to the 1000 block of Pottstown Pike for a cardiac arrest. Chief and Deputy 73 and several QRS responders went enroute right away along with MICU 87-1. All units arrived simultaneously and started to render care. MICU 87-1 transported the patient to the hospital. The company operated for roughly 1 hour.

On Monday morning around 4:00 A.M., the company was alerted for Engine 73-1 to relocate to Station 49 (East Brandywine) while they operated on a two alarm fire in Caln Township. Engine 73-1 made the response with 4. Around 5:00 A.M., Fisherville Road command struck the third alarm adding several units including Engine 73-1. Engine 73-1 was on scene shortly after dispatch and stood by in man power and helped clean up hose from the scene before being released by command and returning to the station 2 hours later.
