Ludwigs Corner Fire Company QRS and BLS Squad Service mourn the loss but celebrate the life of one of our founding members, George Parshall, III.

George held the Chester County radio call sign 73-55 for nearly forty years and was a founding member of the Ludwigs Corner Fire Company Quick Response Service when it began in 1982. He was a certified Emergency Medical Technician who helped thousands of people in medical emergencies and accidents during his decades of volunteer service to this community.

George was a selfless and holy man and one of the ways he lived his religion was by helping people in their darkest hours, never asking for or expecting anything in return. George was loved and remembered by his patients. Even during the past couple of years when George was unable to respond to 911 calls, patients often still asked for him. This happened as recently as last week. This is a testament to the impact he made on the community and the people he served.

I had the pleasure of serving with George during the last dozen or so of his active years with Ludwigs Corner Fire Company QRS. But the real pleasure was to know George. Simply put, George was a good man.

Farewell George, our brother and friend. We know you're in a better place up there. Rest in peace. We've got the watch down here.
