Around 3:20 A.M. on November 20th, Lionville Fire Co. (47), along with LCFC and other mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 200 block of Byers Road for a Commercial Structure Fire. Shortly after dispatch, Chester County Fire Board received several calls reporting the building was well off, as well as the report of explosions heard. With this info the Fire Board immediately upgraded the incident to a working fire. Engine 73-5 made the response with 4 and arrived as the second due engine. The crew stretched a 1 3/4" handline off of Engine 47-2 to the delta side of the structure and began fire attack alongside the crew of Engine 47-2. Engine 73-1 arrived shortly after and set up a monitor and assisted with fire suppression on the alpha/bravo corner. Engine 73-5 supplied its 3500 Gallons of water to Tower 47 and Ladder 6 for a short time until the bulk of the fire was knocked and the remainder could be extinguished with handlines. Crews from both engines assisted in mop up and overhaul before being released by command around 5:30 A.M.
