On October 18th around 9:15 p.m., LCFC Volunteers were dispatched for Rescue 73 to assist Station 69 (TVFD) on a working structure fire. Chief 69 upgraded to a second alarm after Rescue 73 was enroute and Engine 73-5 made the response as part of the 2nd alarm. After arriving on scene, the crew from Rescue 73, led by Lt. Benach, headed up to the scene to assist in fire suppression. Chief 73 setup the Rescue for scene lighting at the dump site and handled the dump site operations. Battalion 73 and Lieutenant 48 assisted in the dump site operations as well. Multiple fill sites were setup to be able to keep adequate water supply to the scene. Engine 73-5 hauled 8 loads of water before returning. Crews were on scene for just under 7 hours before returning back to the station.
Special thank you to Valley Forge and Ridge Fire Companies for standing by at our station while we operated at the scene.
This was the second working fire LCFC responded to on Friday. Engine 73-5 assisted Honey Brook Fire Company on a working house fire earlier that morning. |
