Tonight The West Vincent Township board of Supervisors recognized our Fire Chief, Richard Hahn for his 40 years of service to the Ludwigs Corner Fire Company. Richard is an amazing man. He has dedicated his life to public service from the age of 14. He started all those years ago as a Junior Firefighter at North Coventry Fire Company from there he joined the Army where he did one tour in Vietnam and was awarded a purple heart. He then went to Elverson Fire and EMS where he was a ambulance driver and firefighter. He then made Ludwigs his home in 1974 (two years after the company started). Richard has helped to shape our great fire company into what it is today. He is the best example and role model for up and coming firefighters. He had no clue that he was getting recognized tonight or that everyone was in on it but him. It is a really great that the township took the time to do this for a local who has really given his life to the township. The LCFC would like to thank the Township for their continued support and for recognizing a man who could not be more deserving.
